SENIOR AUTOMATION TESTER

Job Summary: 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Tester to lead automation initiatives across web, mobile, and API platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing robust test automation frameworks, implementing CI/CD test pipelines, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and release efficiency. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and optimize automated test suites using Katalon Studio and TestNG. Integrate tests into the CI/CD pipeline.   
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web/mobile/API using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium 

• Lead automation strategy and implementation across different project phases. 

• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) 

• Apply AI-powered testing tools (e.g., Testim, Applitools, Mabl, Launchable) for visual and intelligent automation. 

• Execute regression, smoke, and integration tests across environments. 

• Participate in BDD/TDD practices using tools like Cucumber, Gherkin, or SpecFlow. 

• Generate comprehensive test reports and dashboards using tools like Allure or Extent Reports 

• Collaborate with developers and manual QA engineers to define automation scope. 

• Review test cases, identify automation opportunities, and improve test coverage. 

• Perform code reviews and guide junior automation engineers. 

• Work with developers and product owners to ensure test coverage of new features and bug fixes. 

• Ensure automation best practices are followed throughout the SDLC. 

Must-Have Skills & Tools: 

Automation Tools: 

• Katalon Studio Advanced proficiency (Web, mobile or API modules) with Java and TestNG for custom automation logic. 

• Selenium WebDriver with Java (preferred), Python or C# 

• Playwright (Basic) 

• TestNG, JUnit  

• BDD Tools: Cucumber 

• API Automation: REST Assured, Postman, SoapUI 

• Mobile Automation: Appium, BrowserStack, LambdaTest 

• Performance Testing (Basic): JMeter 

• Katalon Studio 

Frameworks & Build Tools: 

• POM, Data-Driven, Hybrid, BDD frameworks 

• Apache Maven, Gradle 

CI/CD & DevOps Tools: 

• Jenkins, GitLab CI 

• Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket 

Test Management & Bug Tracking: 

• JIRA, TestRail, qTest, Xray, Zephyr 

Database & Scripting: 

• SQL (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL), DBeaver 

• Scripting knowledge in Java, Python, or Shell scripting 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field 

• Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum environments 

• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC 

• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms like Sauce Labs, BrowserStack 

• ISTQB Certified (plus)
